LiL SoSo Productions is all about creating memorable experiences. Whether producing original concept material or working with corporate and personal clients, we are all about making sure that in addition to a high level of detail, the event is one that leaves attendees inspired. As a global company we also work to produce events all over the world. Anything we create can be taken to any part of the world. LiL SoSo Productions is always looking for corporate and non-profit partners. We are happy to send you a full proposal. Listed below are brief descriptions of the current and past concepts.
When Harlem Came to Paris (WHCTP) explores the Harlem Renaissance era where the “New Negro” was fast becoming recognized for her and his artistic and literary capabilities. Set between 1924 and 1934, attendees are encouraged to dress, dine and be entertained by portrayals of real-life figures from that time. A silent auction of artwork portraying the timeframe to raise money for event partner, Alliance Française de Washington’s ABEI Foundation and live action portrayals of Josephine Baker, Bessie Smith, Bruce Nugent and Count Basie to name a few are just part of the night.
AudioTrip is an airport-themed concept featuring multiple floors designated as airport terminals. This music-lover’s smorgasbord includes live musical performances, nationally and area known djs, food and sponsored cocktails. We launched the concept May 2010 on a Tuesday night to a crowd of over 600 people.
Soul Overdose is an interactive live music event that features residents N’digo Rose as host/performer and DJ Jahsonic, along with special guests. The twist to this event is that the performance does not take place in a traditional staged setting. Instead, the artists are immersed and perform in the audience.
In the Artist’s Studio features independent artists from various musical genres in an intimate setting telling the stories behind their music. The event offers attendees a full experience that is one part performance and one part live interview conducted by DJ Stylus aka Rhome Anderson. In each edition, the featured artist performs with DC super group, The Els and then gets a chance to share her or his story, including insights into what it means to be an independent artist in the 21st century.
