Kat’s Korner: The Bonner Room (CURATION)

This Saturday, February 20th, Nubian Hueman and its partners will host The Black Love Experience (Part Trois). After attending last year’s event, I was more than happy when event producer, Anika Hobbs asked me to curate a portion of the event. On that special night the black box theatre will become The Bonner Room in honor of one of my many sheroes, Marita Bonner, whose essay on “On Being Young—a Woman—and Colored” showcases a perspective of self-love and awareness that I am still smitten by.
