On Saturday, September 14th, Kat presented a special line up of artists, affectionately referred to as The U Street Architects, for an installment of Head-Roc’s Chocolate City Rocks. Check out the video.
Combining elements of poetry, spoken word, emceeing and beats, “I Remember U”, pays homage to the famed U Street Corridor when it was a home to DC’s progressive music and arts scene of the late 1990’s. The show features performances by Ra Brown, Asheru, Poem-Cees, Dehejia Maat, Wes Felton, Navasha Daya and DJ Stylus in a live and continuous mixtape-style approach.
