IN Memoriam: Simone Bresi-Ando

On Tuesday, January 5th, our beloved Simone Bresi-Ando transitioned from our realm leaving behind a wave of shock and sadness across the world. We are saddened by her departure, but are all blessed by having known her and the wisdom she leaves behind. As the creator of the world’s first Adinkra oracle cards, Simone’s legacy is cemented in our hearts and minds. She loved Black people and especially Black girls and women fiercely and Tools for Living BA was her love letter to us.

Due to such an outpouring of love and support via our GoFundMe page, we were able to have Simone’s body transported back to  her family in the U.K. where she will be laid to final rest. The GoFundMe page is still active and will remain so until Sunday, January 31st.  A memorial link has also been established where you can leave messages and remembrances of Simone here.

There is a great deal more that I will share as I become more present. For now, keep going back to my last time with her in “public” for our monthly check-in as part of her “Ancestrally Speaking” series. We talked about so many things and as usual there were so many gems.
