Kat Selected for Guinness Live It Up Campaign

Kat_newsletter_394Our very own Risikat “Kat” Okedeyi has been selected by GTM, the agency that brought you “Master of the Mix”, to serve as one of three DC Interactivists for the Guinness Live It Up campaign. Kat will  be posting all sorts of updates to social media and appear at local events beginning with a special kick-off on Saturday, July 12th at Blind Whino. This event along with the larger campaign, will highlight West African and West Indian music, art and culture by featuring local and national djs and visual artists.

On being selected, Kat had this to say, “I am Nigerian-American and as long as I can remember, Guinness has always been  present at social gatherings. My parents and their friends always made sure it was in stock. You couldn’t have a party without it. Guinness was such a staple that it feels full circle to be serving in this capacity. DC knows how to live it up, so I am sure we are going to have a great time as the campaign unfolds.”
