15 Aug Kat’s Korner: Guinness Live It Up (On Going)
Earlier this year, I was selected as an Guinness InterACTivist. Essentially, I get to sing Guinness praises, attend cool takover sessions and highlight their work with the non-profit Career Gear. After a successful launch event on July 12th, I thought it be fun to share updates, and recaps on the various events happening in the area. Guinness has a long history in West African communities and it is I am really excited to be part of this year’s campaign. You can follow my going-ons in real time on my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages and you can follow the nationwide action on www.guinnessliveitup.com. #GuinnessLiveItUp events are always a good time, but remember: #pleasedrinkresponsibly. See you out and about!

September 3rd: Recap-Mango’s Cafe
Who knew Sunday could be so live? Mango’s is always a great place for food and the Friday/Saturday mash up is always a good time. I knew it was going to be a good night, but I have to say, this has so far been my favorite takeover to date. There was complimentary food and the Guinness cocktails were a hit with The Islander being a clear winner. Fun times all around. Next stop: Bukom Cafe, Thursday, September 18th, 8PM
August 26th: Recap:-Kitchen Near You
Sunday was a fun time! I tried Poulet-DG for the first time, a dish native to Cameroon. It was fantastic and just what I needed. It was an intimate night of music and good people. The Mazout and The Islander cocktails were a hit. Here are a few pictures. Next stop: Mango’s Cafe, Sunday, August 31st.
