Maryam Foye is the founding artistic director of the Hissing Black Cat Theater Company and the Den | Reading Room and Artist Exchange. She is a creative empath, who is constantly doing the most with the least. A woman who became a business woman because she doesn’t respond well to authority, Maryam happens to be a talented artist which translated to a dope business plan that hasn’t failed her yet. She teaches, directs, performs and some more shit. Mostly, she loves Black people, women and kids and will drown water to protect them. Maryam lives her art on the front line.
