LIL SOSO PRODUCTIONS AND THE CHOCOLATE CITY CULTURAL ALLIANCE PRESENT ‘TO SIR WITH LOVE’: A DC CREATIVES INAUGURATION SALON

WASHINGTON, D.C. January 16, 2013–LiL SoSo Productions, in collaboration with the Chocolate City Cultural Alliance, host their soiree “To Sir With Love” on Sunday, January 20,2013 from 8:00 pm until midnight. In keeping with the style of Sidney Poitier’s classic film of the same title, guests are encouraged to wear 1960’s mod-inspired finery and will enjoy refreshments based on delicacies from the era. Scheduled to appear are Kiyem Ade, Ne’a Posey, ZO! featuring Deborah Bond, and DJs John Murph, Stylus, and Jahsonic.

The host committee also features the following creative notables: Leon Bailey, Holly Bass, Gabriel Asheru Benn, Lelita Cannon, Goldie Dean, Stevenson Dunn, Jason Easley, Stephanie Victoria Folling, Vickey Ford, Shellee Haynesworth, Kimberly Hines, Mark Lawrence, Adrian Loving, Alison McNeil, Mazi Mutafa, Karl Ott, Sheldon Scott, Jessica Solomon, Diallo Sumbry, Maceo Thomas and Gerald Watson. LiL SoSo Productions is a woman-owned cultural architecture firm based in Silver Spring, Maryland. Founded in 2001, LSP is known for its nurturing and highlighting of some of the best local, national and international artists on the forefront of the DC Metropolitan creative scene. The company’s tagline: “We make the abstract tangible” is a mantra played out in the diversity of their events, be they literary, musical, visual, or personal development-centered.

This is the first Inauguration Celebration undertaken by the group. “We are coming together to celebrate the President’s Inauguration and also using the opportunity to showcase some of our area’s best creative talent” notes founder and producer, Risikat Okedeyi.
